Standard Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance
Acceptance of any quotation, work order or instruction to commence work constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
2. Variations
Any work not specifically included in the quotation, including unforeseen site conditions, hidden damage or client requested changes, will be treated as a variation and charged accordingly.
3. Call Out & Diagnostic Work
Call out services including leak detection, drain clearing, system testing and fault finding, are charged for time spent and equipment used, regardless of whether a permanent solution is identified.
4. Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due within 7 days of invoice. Wilkinson Plumbing & Gas Fitters reserves the right to suspend works where accounts remain unpaid.
5. Late Payment & Debt Recovery
The Client agrees that reasonable costs incurred in recovering overdue accounts including collection agency fees, legal costs, court filing fees and administrative charges will be payable by the Client. Interest may be charged on overdue accounts at a reasonable commercial rate.
6. Underground Services
Underground services including water, gas, electrical, telecommunications or irrigation may not be visible or accurately located. While reasonable care will be taken, Wilkinson Plumbing & Gas Fitters will not be liable for damage to services not clearly identified or marked before work commences. Repairs will be treated as a variation.
7. Hidden Damage
Existing plumbing infrastructure may be fragile, corroded or structurally unsound. Wilkinson Plumbing & Gas Fitters will not be responsible for pipe collapse or additional failures that occur during legitimate attempts to clear blockages or carry out repairs where the pipework condition was not reasonably identifiable beforehand.
8. Rock & Ground Conditions
Quotations are based on excavation through normal soil conditions only. Rock, groundwater, filled or unstable ground encountered during excavation will be treated as a variation.
9. Drains & Blockages
The presence of tree roots or debris often indicates damaged pipes. Clearing a blockage does not guarantee future blockages will not occur and additional repairs or replacement may be required.
10. CCTV & Equipment
Where CCTV inspection equipment is used additional charges may apply. If equipment becomes lodged or damaged due to pipe condition, the cost of retrieval, repair or replacement will be payable by the Client.
11. Access & Site Conditions
The Client must provide safe and reasonable access to the work area. Additional charges may apply where restricted access, unsafe conditions or delays occur.
12. Permits & Approvals
Unless otherwise specified, the Client is responsible for obtaining permits or approvals required for the works. Costs arising from permit conditions will be treated as a variation.
13. Warranty
Workmanship is warranted in accordance with Australian Consumer Law. Manufacturer warranties apply to supplied products where applicable.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law Wilkinson Plumbing & Gas Fitters will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the works.
15. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights the Client may have under Australian Consumer Law.
By accepting Wilkinson Plumbing & Gas Fitters quotation and engaging our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
